Executive Abstract
Historically, Human Resources was often tasked with heavily administrative roles. Today, with the job market emphasizing new issues, HR leaders have begun to focus on larger factors of employee engagement, health, and technology.
Nonetheless, these increased responsibilities rarely come with extra time in which to manage them. For Human Resources Professionals, the time for important culture or engagement initiatives has to come from somewhere. This is where Employee Self Service (ESS) can help.
ESS systems are online portals or applications where employees can access pay slips, read company policies, request leave, enter timesheets, update personal information, and manage training courses. By managing these tasks, ESS programs free up valuable time for HR and promote many other benefits to boot. In this blog, I will outline some of the benefits of Employee Self-Service Systems, and why you should utilize them in your organization.
